Making Life an Adventure

                       Stolen from the internet! Sorry!

“Making Life an Adventure” – I used this as a tagline to my blog because I genuinely believe that life is meant to be an adventure. It’s a bit of a cliche I know, but I haven’t always felt this way and I was perfectly happy plodding along through life – college, uni, LPC, job…… Then I started to get bored. Last year I set myself a 16 month challenge of doing various physical and mental challenges (which I used to raise money for charity). It was about pushing myself, leaving my comfort zones and doing something new. I ran, I climbed, I ran some more, I got muddy, I got injured and I lived off £1 per day for a week. Last year was also the year that I went to Paris and Copenhagen, I went on my first ever safari, I went snorkeling in the Indian Ocean and I married my best friend (pass me the bucket!)

I’m not saying that you should rush home now, pack your bags and set off climbing mountains, start arranging skydives or even weddings! It can be little things that make your life more adventurous – go on a day trip somewhere on your own, visit that new cafe down the road that you’ve had your eye on for a while or choose a new country to visit. Make a bucket list. Do something new.

Last year is going to be hard to beat that’s for sure but this week I’m going to write a bucket list for 2015 – keep your eyes peeled for updates! I already have one thing on my list and that’s to go skiing, so I’ve recently booked a trip to Zermatt, Switzerland for February.

If you have any ideas, please let me know, I’d love to hear from you.

Dani xx
